Ballin': Kim and Kanye Win Settlement Over Leaked Engagement Video Footage
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West now have even more money in the bank after coming out victorious in a huge settlement over leaked footage from their engagement. TMZ reports that the couple was awarded $440,000 after winning the case.
Chad Hurley, one of the founders of YouTube who also went on to found MixBit, agreed to cough up the hefty sum to KimYe. The couple slapped him with a lawsuit, claiming that he wiggled his way into AT&T Park in San Francisco to witness Kanye's grand proposal to Kim back in 2013. They even stated that he signed a confidentiality agreement, but went on to secretly record the moment and upload it to MixBit anyway.
After learning what happened, an upset Kim and Kanye contacted their attorney Eric George, who filed a suit claiming Hurley was desperate to find a "second act" after two failed ventures following his sale of YouTube for $1.6 billion. According to reports, Hurley has just a few days left to pay the loot, and only then will the case be dismissed.
