Chet Haze Blames His N-Word Rants on Cocaine

"I'm genuinely sorry for the people that I offended," he said.

Tom Hanks' son wants you to know that he's sorry for using the n-word, but that's not all. He blames his drug addiction and the pressues of being the kid of a major celeb on his viral rants, TMZ reports.

As a little refresher, Chet Hanks — who goes by his rap name Chet Haze — made headlines a few months ago after going on a rant about his right to use the n-word at his leisure. Now, he's back-pedaling, saying, "It's not my place to speak on it and I'm genuinely sorry for the poeple that I offended."

Accrording to Chet, he got out of line because of one thing: rehab. He claims he has been receiving treatment for cocaine addiction that got so severe to the point where his nose was clogged. Also, he claims being Tom Hanks' son brings major pressure and isn't as glamorous as one would expect.
