The Queen Latifah Show Gets Canceled

The mogul's chat fest ends after two seasons.

The Queen Latifah Show has officially gotten the ax. The daytime talk show will finish its run at the end of its current second season.

TMZ reports that the early-morning talk show is getting canceled due to poor ratings and production costs. The bad news was reportedly broken to the show's staff on Friday (November 21) morning.

Confirming the reports and thanking her staff and crew for their hard work during their one-year run, Queen Latifah posted a note on her Facebook page saying, "Your dedication and sacrifice was crucial to the entire team, and in the face of intense challenges, you displayed 'True Grit!'"

She ended the post with a few inspirational words: "The most important thing in life is that you wake up every single day and take chances. No matter what the outcome... believe in yourself and continue to fly."

The Queen Latifah Show began in September 2013, and was renewed for its current second season in January 2014.
