Shonda Rhimes Shuts Down Homophobic How to Get Away With Murder Viewer

"There are no gay scenes. There are scenes with people in them," the famed producer said.

With the phenomenon of Scandal and now How to Get Away With Murder, Shonda Rhimes is singlehandedly dominating primetime TV with her envelope-pushing themes. However, some viewers are saying same-sex love scenes are "too much." The powerhouse producer quickly defended the intimacy with a sprinkle of shade.

On Sunday, the How to Get Away With Murder viewer tweeted, "@shondarhimes the gay scenes in scandal and how to get away with murder are too much. There is no point and they add nothing to the plot."

Never one to miss a beat, Rhimes quickly clapped back, tweeting, "There are no GAY scenes. There are scenes with people in them."

The best part, however, soon followed when the #TGIT queen tweeted, "If u use the phrase 'gay scenes', u are not only LATE to the party but also NOT INVITED to the party," before ending with, "Bye Felicia. #oneLOVE."  And that's how to get away with shade!  Be sure to catch Scandal on BET every Friday at 10P/9C.
