Isaiah Washington Drops A Bomb About The Real – And Racist – Reason He Was Fired From ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

He claims Shonda Rhimes has his back.

Mo'Nique recently revealed, with her husband, that former Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington was booted from the drama under false allegations of him hurling a gay slur at a then-castmate.

Now, the actor himself is speaking out on his exit from the show and in addition to agreeing with the comedian's assessment, he is adding more context to the situation, including how his former boss Shonda Rhimes allegedly feels about it all.

In an interview with TMZ, Washington insisted that he was fired from the show back in 2007 over false accusations made by an allegedly racist ABC executive, Howard Davine. He even added that Rhimes is aware of this and is actually in his corner.

In his extremely direct explanation, he said upon recently speaking with Rhimes, the creator and executive producer of Grey's Anatomy, he learned that she has "nothing good to say" about the network or Davine.

"I just had an hour conversation with Shonda Rhimes," he said. "She says, and I quote, 'She has really nothing good to say about ABC or Howard Davine and his racist, biased behavior,' OK? And she thinks that time's up. He needs to be thoroughly investigated."

The actor, who currently stars in the hit CW series The 100, is making some pretty bold remarks about both Rhimes' alleged stand against ABC and the allegedly false reports of him being homophobic.

Furthermore, he claimed a whistle-blower filled him in on Davine's alleged actions and now he's hoping that organizations get in his corner to take him down.

TMZ reports that despite reaching out, they are yet to hear any word from Shonda Rhimes' offices.
