Camille Cosby Calls The D.A. 'Heinously And Exploitively Ambitious' After Husband's Mistrial

She also thanked supporters.

Camille Cosby isn’t happy about her husband’s mistrial and via a blistering statement released today (June 17), she’s explaining why.

The 79-year-old commedian’s wife lashed out at the District Attorney and lawyers for her husband’s accusers.

“How do I describe the District Attorney? Heinously and exploitively ambitious,” she wrote in a statement posted on Bill Cosby’s Facebook page. “How do I describe the judge? Overtly and arrogantly collaborating with the District Attorney. How do I describe the counsels for the accusers? Totally unethical. How do I describe many, but not all, general media? Blatantly vicious entities that continually disseminated intentional omissions of truths for the primary purpose of greedily selling sensationalism at the expense of a human life.”

Ouch. The jury, made up of five women and seven men, received praise – at least the ones who fought for a not guilty verdict. The producer and writer claimed they “tenaciously fought to review the evidence.”

In rounding out her statement, Camille Cosby thanked her supporters, including friends, family and staff members, as well as Bill’s legal team who she described as hard-working in an attempt to echo “powerful articulations of truth.”

Bill Cosby’s sexual assault trial ended in a mistrial late last night (June 16). TMZ reports that after more than five days of deliberations the jury was unable to unanimously reach a verdict on any of the three sexual assault counts. Time will tell whether prosecutors will bring another case against the famed TV comedian.
