Tyler Perry Blasts the Media's Coverage of Bobbi Kristina: 'Show Some Decency'

Whitney's close friend shares emotional message on Facebook.

Tyler Perry took to Facebook on Friday morning to make an emotional plea to the paparazzi and tabloids reporting false stories about Bobbi Kristina Brown: "Show some decency."
The media mogul, who was a close friend of Whitney Houston's and has been supporting Bobby Brown during the Bobbi Kris tragedy, wrote, "[I] woke up this morning with Whitney on my mind. I couldn't help but think about all she had dreamed for her child. I know this was not her dream."

FAMILY MATTERS: WHEN FAMOUS FAMILIES FIGHT

He continued, "As difficult as this time is for the people that love both Whitney and Krissi, what makes it more egregious is the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time."
Perry goes on to admonish the media for wanting "to be the first to report something awful," asking instead for people to "please show some decency and respect" for the Houstons, the Browns and other families across the country facing similar tragedies. "It is heartbreaking to think that even in a time like this, this child is still not allowed any peace." He wraps up his statement asking that we "just pray for Krissi."
The Atlanta-based media mogul has acted as something of a mentor to Bobbi Kristina since her mother's death in 2011, even giving her a small role on his show For Better or for Worse. Perry has reportedly given Bobbi's father, Bobby Brown, use of his private plane so he can come to his daughter's bedside at every opportunity. Perry is likely especially sympathetic to Brown's plight since he recently became a father himself.
Our thoughts go out to the Brown and Houston families during this difficult time.
