Paul Walker's Daughter Reaches Settlement In Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Meadow and the car company found a resolution.

With almost four years passing since Paul Walker's tragic death, his daughter Meadow has settled her wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche, officially ending on October 16.

Walker, moments before his death, was a passenger in a Porsche Carrera GT while his friend, Roger Rodas, was in the driver's seat. Following the crash, which left them both dead, Meadow claimed that the history of instability and control issues by the vehicle — specifically her father being restrained by a faulty seatbelt — are what led him to burn alive while the car went up in flames.

As stated in the court documents from the first hearing, Meadow's attorney, Jeff Milam, stated that though Porsche was fully aware "that the Carrera GT had history of instability and control issues," they "failed to install its electronic stability control system," which they have described as "specifically designed to protect against the swerving actions inherent in hyper-sensitive vehicles of this type."

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Meadow and Porsche have since reached a settlement. While the specific details of it remain under wraps, it is known that both parties have asked for a dismissal of the suit. Meadow, however, was awarded $10.1 million on behalf of Rodas' estate last year.

People also reports that Walker left his entire estate, worth $25 million, to his daughter.
