Watch Adam Beach and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbajer Break Down Police Brutality and Guns

This Native-American actor and English actor offer a different perspective.

Two of the action stars starring in the highly anticipated film Suicide Squad, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc) and Adam Beach (Slipknot), both hail from territories outside of the United States — the UK and Canada, respectively. With the current hot topic of gun abuse in America, they both touched on what they thought of the issue.

"It's probably the most tragic time in history when young Black men, 25 or 29, are willing to give up their lives and take away other lives," Adewale said. "This is not a joke. Young Black men are willing to die, and killing cops and police men... you know, this is a time in society where real people and real solutions have to come forward. It's not simply about guns. Guns are weapons of destruction and not necessary in civilian life, but there are things that go beyond that. It's the whole infrastructure that has to be dismantled."

Touching on police brutality, he continued, "Whether you're wearing a blue uniform or you're living on the street, everybody has a soul, everybody has a heart, everybody has a story. How about we start talking about the stories and have a dialogue."

Adam Beach went a bit further, touching on the police's abuse of their power: "If you give anybody authority and you give them a sense of power, some people abuse it," he said. "Not all of them... There is an abusive power that happens. There's a yin and yang to a lot that is going on."

See what else they had to say on the controversial topic in the video, above.

Suicide Squad hits theatees on August 5.
