You Won't Believe Which Orange Is the New Black Star Reportedly Attacked a Teenager

Punching, scratching and hair pulling!

One of the stars of the hit prison series Orange Is the New Black might be headed to the SHU after allegedly punching out a teenage girl. No, that's not a plot line from the upcoming season. This actually happened in real life, and the star is facing charges for assaulting a minor. So who's the culprit? Hint: on the show, she's a brand new mom, and in the picture above, she's the one in white.
That's right, Dascha Polanco (seen in the middle in the picture above), who plays Dayanara Diaz on OINTB, allegedly went all Holly Holm on a 17-year-old by the name of Michelle Cardona. According to court documents, “Ms. Cardona observed the defendant strike Ms. Cardona about the face and head with a closed fist at least three times, pull Ms. Cardona’s hair, and strike Ms. Cardona’s arms with the defendant’s hands and nails.”
Ouch!
Polanco’s defense attorney, Gerald Lefcourt, of course, claims extortion: “It’s a setup to try to get money and it was tape-recorded.” Polanco was charged with assault by a Manhattan Criminal Court. It's still not clear what provoked the attack.
The actress seemed unfazed by the charges, though. She posted a photo celebrating her birthday to Instagram in the midst of the hearing, along with the caption, “I’m a warrior! The truth is set to come.… Good always prevails.”
