Tragic: Morgan Freeman's Granddaughter's Final Words Before She Was Killed Will Break Your Heart

E'Dena Hines was stabbed 25 times in New York City.

Acclaimed actor Morgan Freeman tragically lost his granddaughter, E'Dena Hines, in 2015 after her boyfriend viciously stabbed her to death, 25 times.

Now, almost three years since the incident occurred, it is being revealed what her final words were and they are nothing short of heartbreaking.

According to The New York Post, a witness recalled overhearing Hines and her live-in boyfriend, Lamar Davenport, in the street, mentioning her final words in a testimony.

"'Why are you doing this?'" Cristina Aviles, a 22-year-old nursing student, remembered hearing Hines mutter before she died.

"They were arguing," Aviles said. "She was on the floor, and he was on top of her, restraining her, stopped her from getting loose from his grip. He was trying to keep her down... I proceeded to call the cops."

She then recalled overhearing Davenport, 30, scream things that were disturbing to hear.

"He was yelling things about releasing the devil out of her," she added. "And then he pulled out a knife, and then he proceeded to stab her multiple times... I was in shock when I saw him take out the knife. I don't know where it came from."

She mentioned that there were "multiple stabs" from the back, the front of her chest and her neck. According to her account, Davenport would raise the knife to the level of his forehead before bringing it down once again to stab her, each time.

"She was on her stomach, and then she somehow flipped over, and he stabbed her on the chest," she said.

Aviles said she stayed on the line with the police until Davenport was in the custody of the officers.

Freeman sadly spoke these words remembering his granddaughter at the time of her death: "The world will never know her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer."
