LeBron vs. MJ: Here’s Who Denzel Washington Believes Deserves G.O.A.T. Status

Do you agree with his pick?

For what seems like a lifetime, the debate on who the "true G.O.A.T." is between Michael Jordan and LeBron James has remained an ongoing topic.

While promoting his latest film, The Equalizer 2, Denzel Washington was asked to share his thoughts and seeing as he's an O.G. Lakers fan, his response may — or my not — surprise you.

Every NBA stan's all-time favorite multi-generational rivalry was brought to the forefront during Washington's sit-down interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

After admitting that he was excited about James signing with the purple and gold, the season ticket holder shared his response on who he thinks is "the best basketball player of all time."

After skating around the question for a bit, the Oscar-winning actor shared a story about watching Jordan play back in the day alongside arguably the New York Knicks' most infamous celebrity fan, Spike Lee, and them dining with the sports legend after the game.

"I was trying to get him drunk, trying to get him off his game," he said.

After Kimmel kept pushing for him to admit that he thought Jordan was more deserving of the G.O.A.T. title, Washington only responded with a smile.

While he never verbally said who he firmly believes is the greatest of all time, the actor cleverly avoided all trap questions that alluded to James being No. 2. So, is that his answer? Who knows?
