Diva Alert: Caitlyn Jenner Making Outrageous Demands Ahead of ESPYs

The reality star also decided to skip the show's red carpet.

It looks like Caitlyn Jenner's already getting a reputation as a diva. She has reportedly negotiated her way into being honored at the 2015 ESPYs, where she is set to receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. According to Radar Online, Jenner's reps were prepared to pull her record-breaking interview with Diane Sawyer back in April if she didn't get the prestigious honor.

The reports all come after news that Caitlyn was not even originally in the running to receive the award. Once her publicist was finalizing terms of her interview with Sawyer, however, one of the clauses in the negotiation suggested that she receive it. ESPN, which is owned by Disney, like Sawyer's ABC, liked the idea once it was proposed by the Olympic icon's agents.

"It was a brilliant move because the executives at ESPN loved the idea, and immediately began making sure it got done," a source said. "Caitlyn's journey to accepting the award will also be featured on her upcoming reality show, I Am Cait."

While she and her people apparently got their way, there was, however, a hiccup in the plan which saw her reps threaten to pull the interview shortly before it was schedule to air. Once everything was ironed out, the special premiered and pulled some of the biggest ratings numbers on ABC all year.

Now that the 65-year-old is confirmed to attend the big event on Wednesday night, everyone is anxious to see her make her first televised appearance as Caitlyn Jenner. Don't expect to see her strutting her stuff on the red carpet, though, as Jenner herself announced that she will be skipping the carpet.

The 2015 ESPY Awards will air on Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. on both ESPN and ABC.
