Zendaya slammed a Vons supermarket employee recently for allegedly racially profiling her while she tried to buy gift cards.
Now, following the establishment's explanation, the actress dishes on why she chose to put them on blast, saying she has no regrets whatsoever.

"I feel like you're supposed to speak up on issues that you think are important," she exclusively told Us Magazine. "Honestly, that's what social media is for, you know, to share stories and have conversations and open dialogue about it."

The "Something New" singer also said she's well aware of the backlash she may receive from haters for speaking her mind, but she welcomes it all.

"Well, that's gonna happen regardless," she said. "In many ways, if you don't have haters, you're not doing your job. You gotta have people to hate on you. That's the best part!"
