Idris Elba Joins Finding Nemo 2

Plus, Morgan Freeman to play civil rights lawyer in Ted 2.

Idris Elba will lend his distinctive voice to one of the most anticipated films of the new year. The No Good Deed star has joined the cast of Finding Nemo 2, the long-awaited sequel to Pixar's 2003 hit.
The actor will re-team with his The Wire co-star Dominic West for the family pic, and it was West who spilled the beans that he and Elba have been tapped for the film. "I saw Idris recently," West told ShortList.com. "We’re both in the sequel to Finding Nemo, so we were recording that. I’m in pretty regular contact with a lot of guys fromThe Wire. A lot of them are godparents to my kids, so I love them dearly."
Another high-profile casting reveal this week: Morgan Freeman has signed on for a major role in Ted 2, the sequel to Seth MacFarlane's 2012 hit Ted, about a vulgar teddy bear and his human friend (Mark Wahlberg). Plot details for the sequel are being kept under wraps, but producers did reveal that Freeman would be playing an iconic civil rights attorney who comes to Ted's defense in the film.
