The Black Panther Movie Just Got Better Than You Could Have Possibly Imagined
The cast of the highly anticipated superhero film Black Panther is turning out to be an amalgamation of the best Black talent Hollywood has to offer, and according to new reports, one of the best to ever do it has joined.
According to Variety, Angela Bassett (whose contract was negotiated by Darrell Miller of Fox Rothschild LLP) has officially signed on to play T'Challa's mother in the film.
Chadwick Boseman will play T'Challa, Bassett's son and the prince of the African nation of Wakanda, who will take over the throne following his father's brutal murder. The character and the beginning of his introduction and storyline were revealed in Captain America: Civil War back in May.
Also set to star in the film are Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira, among many others. Creed director Ryan Coogler will be at the film's helm.
