Yikes: Federal Prosecutors Are Determined To Put Stevie J Behind Bars

Looks like the 'Love & Hip Hop' star's luck might have run out.

Things aren't looking too peachy for Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta's resident bad boy Stevie J as federal prosecutors claim he should be put behind bars for failing to meet the terms of his probation in his child support case.

According to the New York Daily News, Stevie J was accused of stiffing the mother of his two children for 13 years and was, thus, ordered to pay $1.3 million as a part of his February 2015 plea deal in the case.

However, his failure to comply with several procedures has landed him in poor favor with the Assistant U.S. Attorney Kathleen Reilly who said the reality star has missed a drug test and substance abuse treatment. She added that he also never provided financial information to his probation officer.

"There's a pattern of non-compliance," she said. "That pattern is very much of concern to the government."

Judge Paul Crotty has ordered a hearing set to take place next month where it will be determined whether or not Stevie J should be taken into custody.

His attorney, Xavier Donaldson, claimed that locking his client up would only hinder him from earning money to make his child support payments.

"The only way he can make money is if he's out doing shoots," he said. "If we put him in jail, there's no conceivable way that could happen."
