Wendy Williams’ Comedy Show Has Been Canceled ‘Due To Unforeseen Circumstances’

The talk show host’s attempt at stand-up didn’t go as planned.

Wendy Williams' recent attempt at stand-up comedy has hit an abrupt halt: the talk show queen was forced to cancel her last remaining show. It is also confirmed that her September 6 and 7 shows at Atlanta Symphony Hall were also canceled.

According to The Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida (the venue where the event was set to take place), the show was canceled "due to unforeseen circumstances."

The now-scrapped event was scheduled to take place on September 21 after initially being rescheduled from its August date.

While the details surrounding the sudden cancellation are yet to be explained, Page Six reports that low ticket sales is the reason, rather than "unforeseen circumstances" and "scheduling issues."

Her October 5 show at Music Hall Center in Detroit, which was a rescheduled performance after an initial postponement, was also canceled, according to Ticketmaster.

It should be noted, though, that no one from Williams' team or the venue has confirmed their report.

Despite this cancellation, Williams isn't missing a beat on her eponymous talk show, which was recently renewed for two more seasons.
