Gossip Site Gets Dragged for Pretending Not to Know Who Keke Palmer Is

They knew a certain popular socialite though.

The disrespect towards actress and singer Keke Palmer was all too real when a Twitter-based publication failed to refer to her by name, but rather as "an actress," when reporting on a comment she made about Kylie Jenner, whom they confidently named.

The publication in question, which goes by Insider, posted a tweet where they claimed not to know who Palmer was, while acknowledging the famous socialite by name.

"An actress slams Kylie Jenner for not being true to herself and teaching girls the wrong lessons about success," they wrote.

Needless to say, Insider received a fair dragging for the irresponsible reporting.

Meanwhile, the actress's comments have since garnered more attention following the fiasco.

"In the sense of the Kardashians, it's like I'm going to show you so much perfect and be everything a woman should be or everything a man would like or love," she told Yahoo! Beauty. "And I'm going to be exactly that so you can't bully me anymore."

Speaking on the now infamous narrative of Kylie Jenner's "blossoming" as a socialite, the "Hands Free" singer explained that society's beauty standards influenced the young reality star to artificially transform into the figure she is today.

"Specfiically in the situation with Kylie, where you've had a young girl people have seen on television since she was a kid and they literally told her she was so ugly... the ugly person in the family," she said. "She went and did apparently everything the world deems as beautiful. The even crazier part is that everybody loves her for it."

Did she lie, though?
