Hot Trailer! This Is the Spider-Man Movie You've Been Waiting For
The Spider-Man franchise is getting what seems like its millionth reboot next year, but don't expect this installment to be business as usual. The first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming dropped this week, and from the looks of it, we're in for a whole new story, not just a reboot of the old one.
First off, the new franchise starts with Peter Parker in his high school years. His early-edition Spidey suit features a design only seen in the earliest of Spider-Man comic books. Spider-Man, played by British actor Tom Holland, is shown doing all the usual superhero stuff (scaling tall buildings and the like) while also dealing with high school problems like unrequited crushes, homework and prom. Wonder which one is more stressful.
In addition, the trailer also gives us a first-look at new villian Vulture, played by Michael Keaton, and features a drop-in from Iron Man Robert Downey Jr.
