Raven-Symoné 'Surprised' Black Lives Matter Isn't Supporting Missouri Campus Protests

The View host mouths off again.

Raven-Symoné hasn't exactly been the biggest supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, and on Tuesday's episode of The View, the co-host put the collective on blast for not turning out to support the Missouri campus protests.
"I'm surprised at-hashtag-Black Lives Matter isn't on this," she said during the discussion on the protests. "I would expect the Black Lives Matter to be a part of this situation as well because it's just as important as [the other issues]."
On Monday, the University of Missouri system president Tim Wolfe resigned amid student protests against his handling of racial incidents on campus. Wolfe’s decision was the result of mounting tension on the university's Columbia campus. On November 2, graduate student Jonathan Butler announced his decision to go on a hunger strike until Wolfe took his concerns, as well as the concerns of activist group Concerned Student 1950, seriously. Student protests and sit-ins were launched to show solidarity with Butler, and the conflict came to a head when University of Missouri football players announced they would boycott games until Wolfe stepped down.
"Black Lives Matter was really about the police situation," Symoné's co-host Michelle Collins explained. "While this also has to do with racial tension, it's a separate movement."
Raven's eye rolls made it pretty clear she feels some kind of way about #BLM still. This latest instance of shade will probably drive more people to sign the petition to have her fired from The View, but for now she still seems to be in the good graces of her bosses at ABC.
