Grey's Anatomy star Sara Ramirez likes to keep her private life out of the spotlight, but on Saturday morning she spoke at the True Colors: 40 to None Summit that addresses LGBT youth homelessness to share about her own experience as a bisexual woman.

"So many of our youth experiencing homelessness are youth whose lives touch on many intersections—whether they be gender identity, gender expression, race, class, sexual orientation, religion, citizenship status," Ramirez said.

She continued, "I am deeply invested in projects that allow our youth's voices to be heard, and that support our youth in owning their own complex narratives so that we can show up for them in the ways they need us to."

Ramirez, who married her husband Ryan DeBolt in 2011, had never spoken out about her sexuality until now but admitted that in the past her own sexuality has come into question because of her character's bisexuality on Grey's.

Ramirez also took to Twitter to share the exciting news about her intimate admittance.

Her words prompted many messages of support and love from fans on Twitter.
