Watch Jada Pinkett-Smith Break Down in Tears as She Slams the ‘Disrespectful’ Tupac Biopic

The actress is speaking out.

Jada Pinkett-Smith is currently on the promo trail for her new upcoming film, Girls Trip, and while making a stop in Atlanta, the actress was asked once again about her opinions on the recently released Tupac biopic, All Eyez on Me.

Judging from her spirited response, Pinkett-Smith's recently documented outrage surrounding the film has not subsided.

"I wanted people to know that what you're seeing in regards to my relationship with Tupac is not true, and that was important to me because my relationship was really special and, um, it was very complicated and, um, I just felt like it was a huge disservice," she said while getting visibly choked up.

The actress went on to say that she felt like her true relationship with the fallen rapper would have shed light on "what he truly was, because it's one thing to see Pac's persona publicly and who he was personally."

Going more in-depth about her feelings towards the movie's portrayal of her friendship with Pac, she specifically mentioned that she felt like their bond was used as a ploy to sell tickets.

"I thought it was just handled in a very disrespectful way, and I felt like it was exploitative of me and Pac, how they used our relationship to sell a movie, and I just felt like it was tomb-raiding in regards to Pac," she said.

Offering a few words to the film's production team and those who brought it to life, she firmly said, "If you're really saying that you're honoring a man's legacy, then honor his legacy, and if you don't have the story, fall back until you do."

She ended her response with these parting words directed towards the filmmakers: "If you really feel like you did right by Pac, then congratulations. But if you didn't, really sit with that. 'Cause I hope next time, if you get another opportunity to make another movie about a legend, you'll do a different thing."
