Mom blogger Brenda DeRouen is taking our breath away with a new photo that recreates Kendall Jenner's iconic Calvin Klein underwear ad to make a bold statement. Brenda's version of the CK ad shows off her post-baby body, stretch marks and all. The powerful image went viral, with the comments flooded with words of support and inspiration. Though most of the comments are from women tired of looking at perfectly-toned tabloid "post-baby bodies" (no shade, Chrissy Teigen), Brenda has at least one fan who doesn't fit that mold: rapper Plies. The rapper took to Instagram to share a few words about Brenda and her body:

The close-up of her abdomen, clothed in nothing but Calvin Klein allowed DeRouen to proudly and beautifully show off something that at one point in her life made her cry.

She posted the image on her blog with an honest message: "I turned away when dressing in front of others, and wouldn’t chance doing the dirty with the lights on... For years I dealt with not loving myself. I was self-conscious in relationships and I hated how my body looked." But now, she says, she has turned a corner, and is working on accepting and loving her body the way it is. "I wanted to celebrate the end of my body insecurities by having a perfect stranger document my moment through photography."

DeRouen added that working with the "super dope and super talented" photographer Deun Ivory was a liberating experience. She said it was an opportunity to move past years of self-hatred. "I have stretch marks, so what! I’m no longer ashamed. My body has accomplished so much: the immense beauty of motherhood; the pleasures of maturity; and the undeniable journey of growth. There is no one, not even myself, that can ever make me feel badly about my skin."

And while DeRouen's photo is very different from Jenner's, that does not mean she thinks Kendall is to blame for the media's unrealistic standards for women. She spoke to Daily News Online to talk about what she hopes the lasting message of her own image is.

"Our bodies were never meant to be perfect. Most pictures that you see nowadays including Kendall’s are photoshopped and edited," she says. "You will never look like the girls in the magazine and you shouldn’t want to. You are beautiful. Every scar and every imperfection has a story that makes you uniquely you. Your body is your temple."
