August Alsina Passes Out on Stage During NYC Concert

"No Love" singer collapsed and fell off stage during performance, no word yet on his status.

It's not just the fans who might faint at a show. This week started off as a whirlwind for August Alsina, who shocked concertgoers when he suddenly went limp and fell off stage during his set Monday (Sept. 15) at Irving Plaza in Manhattan.

He collapsed mid-performance. Disturbing footage, captured on camera by the crowd, shows the fall and security rushing to his side. Witnesses say security then motioned for the music to stop, and that August was moved backstage. Paramedics were called to the scene and he was eventually taken out of the venue on a stretcher.

No word yet on his current condition, but fans did add that he was able to wave farewell.

August was making rounds for his Testimony Live tour, which kicked off Aug. 14 in Seattle in support of his debut album. He had just sold out venues in Philly and Boston in the days before, and in the hours before, the BET Best New Artist had just released the world premiere of the new video for his "No Love" remix featuring Nicki Minaj on 106 & Park.

Almost immediately after the scare, the fan footage began circulating, along with the Twitter trend #PrayForAugust. Ditto that. He's scheduled to appear in Cincinnati tonight at Bogarts and to close out the tour Sept. 21 in Kansas City at the Arvest Bank Theatre.
