Viola Davis Wins SAG Award for How to Get Away With Murder

Uzo Aduba also takes trophy for Orange Is the New Black.

Viola Davis and Uzo Aduba were big winners at the SAG Awards on Sunday night, each taking home a trophy for their respective television roles.
Davis won for Outstanding Female Actor in a Drama for her role as Annalise Keating in How to Get Away With Murder. In her acceptance speech, and she paid tribute to the show's executive producer, Shonda Rhimes for "thinking that a sexualized, messy, mysterious woman could be a 49-year-old dark-skinned African-American who looks like me." Davis also took a jab at the New York Times. 
Aduba won Outstanding Female Actor in a Comedy for playing prison inmate "Crazy Eyes" in Orange Is the New Black. The series also won for Best Ensemble Cast in a Comedy, breaking Modern Family's winning streak in the category.
Aduba tearfully thanked her cast mates, "without whom this is not possible. I love you guys so desperately so much. The day I got this job was the day I had stopped acting. And to be in a room with all your amazing talents, for what I respect and love so much, is just the greatest honor."
On the film side, Birdman was the night's big winner, taking the top honor of Outstanding Cast in a Motion Picture.
