Hit-Boy Rolls Out His "Old School Caddy"

The G.O.O.D. Music producer-rapper talks to BET.com about the premiere of his Kid Cudi-assisted music video.

Hit-Boy's smooth cruise to rap fame continued earlier tonight with the debut of his "Old School Caddy" video on 106 & Park. The track features Kid Cudi, who joins the "N***** in Paris" producer in the stylish video.

Currently in Los Angeles with Cudi for a performance at Rock the Belles, Hit told BET.com how the original track came to be.

"I had played a few songs for Cudi and after "Old School Caddy" went off he asked to be a part of it," explained Hit, "It was a real organic thing."

The video, which features both MCs swagging through the desert heat in Air Yeezy's and riding Caddies, is only Hit-Boy's second single to date. After lacing Jay-Z, Kanye and ASAP Rocky with some of his illest beats, the Surf Club member is now focusing on his own rhymes.

"I was rapping before I was making beats," said Hit, "I just wanna make the best music possible."

His work ethic has shown in his recent success and he's optimistic about the future.

"I'm going hard and people are receiving it well so I really feel like this thing is gonna take off," said Hit. "I'm just kinda letting the chips fall and working as hard as possible, going all in."

He's showing no signs of slowing down, telling BET.com that he had just left a studio session with ASAP Rocky in New York before linking with Dr. Dre protege, Kendrick Lamar.
