One suspect brought into custody was a 23-year-old white man. The other was a 32-year-old Hispanic man. Police are still searching for other suspects in the case.
All five victims of the shooting were Black men, aged 19 to 43. They were taken to hospitals in the area and are being treated for non life-threatening injuries, according to NBCNews.com. The shooting took place near a police precinct where demonstrations were taking place. Protests have been ongoing since Sunday Nov. 15 after news of Clark's death began to spread.
The family of Clark expressed their ongoing gratitude and concern for demonstrators' well-being. "But In light of tonight's shootings, the family feels out of imminent concern for the safety of the occupiers, we must get the occupation of the 4th precinct ended and onto the next step," Clark's family expressed in a statement.

Was this a hate crime? Authorities are currently deciding whether to classify the incident as one, according to The Star Tribune.
Clark was shot after police say he was interfering with paramedics who were helping the victim of an assault. An officer opened fire on Clark after a struggle broke out between them, according to the Associated Press.
