Parents Are Outraged After a Georgia Student Allegedly Said He Wanted to 'Exterminate All N****s' on Snapchat

This is how North Cobb High School plans to take action.

An investigation has been opened at a Georgia high school after a video posted to Facebook showed a student making racist remarks. Officials from North Cobb High confirmed they are looking into whether a student made derogatory comments about Black people on Snapchat.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a parent reposted the snap on her Facebook page. In the post, an unidentified student allegedly spoke of wanting to bring back slavery and admiring the person who assassinated President Lincoln.

In the post, the student also mentioned “exterminating all n*****s.”

Although the Cobb County School District has not publicly stated if the student who posted on Snapchat has been punished, the parent who shared the image on her Facebook page said the student was suspended for three days.

Additionally, the North Cobb High School administration sent out a letter condemning the post.

“The North Cobb High School administration and staff does not condone this type of profane and bigoted behavior in our school,” the letter stated. “The message was deplorable and we denounce everything about it. We take this matter very seriously and we are addressing it in accordance with Cobb County School District policies and procedures.

“We will use this as an opportunity to remind ourselves why we are here and that we, as a school community, stand for respect and inclusion. This must be a place where all are free to learn in a safe and welcoming environment.”
