That's exactly what the former NBA forward did today after taking a photo with Masika Kalysha and seeing the Love & Hip Hop star post the shot on her Instagram account with the caption, "I took a picture with a fan ... I forgot to get his name."

Barnes didn't take the joke lightly, clapping back with this response, as spotted by The Shade Room, below.

Welp.

He really said, "buuuuuuut you posted the picture YOU asked to take??"

After their back and forth, Masika and Matt reportedly had this conversation, as posted by The Shade Room below.

Still, though ... Matt Barnes is clearly not the one to try out here at all. Lesson learned.
