Black Students On The Same Trip As The Trolling Beckys Advised Them To Remove Their Trump Hats

They also have this to say about why they were in Washington, D.C., and their trip itinerary.

The story of a pair of white girls who thought it would be kosher to wear “Make America Great Again” hats to Howard, a historically Black university, keeps revealing more and more tea sip-worthy details.

Allie Vandee and Sarah Applequist attempted to play victim on Twitter when they said they were harassed by people on the campus where they were visiting. They were then met with a heavy barrage of internet users who called them trolls and claimed they knew what they were getting themselves into.

These sentiments may not just be conjecture now. Two Black students who accompanied the two white girls on their visit to Howard are now revealing that they gave the young women notice that they’d receive backlash for wearing the infamous and controversial hat.

"Our tour guide told us it was an HBCU and everything, and that's when we looked at what they were wearing and said, 'You can't wear that to a historically Black college,'" Eunissa Pullium, a 16-year-old student who was also on the tour told Buzzfeed. "They just ignored it, like we didn’t say it at all."

Quityn Rogers, another student from the same city as Pullium, confirmed the story as true and also said the girls were asked to remove their “MAGA” hats.

"Before we got in the cafe we told them to take off the hats," Rogers explained. "I had a pit in my stomach, I knew something was going to happen. They ignored us. They took matters into their own hands and kept them on."

Originally, the girls said that no one informed them that Howard was an HBCU and that there would be an issue if they wore the hats.

"No one asked us to take the hats off, no one told us the history of the college other than what year it was established in and who it was established by," Vandee told Buzzfeed on Tuesday.

Looks like a game of differing stories. But it’s hard to believe that NO ONE would give anyone wearing that hat forewarning.
