Mother Of Naika Venant Allegedly Watched as 14-Year-Old Live Streamed Her Suicide and Commented 'Crying Wolf Seeking Attention'

The investigation has uncovered many shocking allegations of abuse from Gina Caze.

As the investigation into the live-streamed suicide of a Florida teenager continues, a new report shines a light on how involved the mother could have been in the teen’s death. According to a report by the Florida Department of Children and Families, the mother of 14-year-old Naika Venant allegedly watched along with others as her daughter killed herself.

The report, published on Monday, found that Gina Caze may have used an Facebook alias while she watched and commented on her daughter’s tragic death. Caze allegedly insulted her daughter and never made any attempts to call for help, reported the Tampa Bay Times.

According to the DCF report, Caze used the screenname “Gina Alexis” in order to comment on Venant’s live-streamed suicide.

“#ADHD games played u sad little DCF custody jit that’s why u where u at for this dumb s**t n more u keep crying wolf u dead u will get buried life goes on after a jit that doesn't listen to there parents trying to be grown seeking boys and girls attention instead of her books,” Caze allegedly wrote under the “Gina Alexis” alias.

An attorney for Caze called the allegations “absolutely false.” He added that Caze only commented after her daughter had died because she thought the suicide stream was not real. Caze’s attorney also echoed her previous sentiments that the foster care system was at fault for Venant’s death.

“Out of 14 placements, not one was therapeutic,” attorney Howard Talenfeld told the Tampa Bay Times.

However, the report also details years of alleged abuse that Venant endured at the hands of her mother.

In 2009, Venant was first put in foster care because of allegations of physical abuse by her mother, the DCF report states. Venant was eventually referred to a service that helps sexually abused children due to behavior she’d exhibited. While in treatment, she disclosed to therapists that she’d be exposed to pornography and slept in the same room as her mother’s boyfriends.

Venant moved in and out of foster care between 2009 and 2017 and Caze finally gave up custody in 2016, saying she no longer wanted her at home.

The abuse allegations were never fully investigated due to Caze’s “non-compliance.”

No charges have been announced against Caze.
