ScHoolBoy Q's having the best debut ever. Just a month after his Oxymoron went No. 1 in its first week on the coveted Billboard 200 chart, The Source magazine is hitting newsstands with the TDE emcee's mug on the cover.

Inside the new issue (#262), Q talks about how he hasn't listened to his own album, how he and YG are the only ones really keeping it real, and how if Maino had sent the infamous apology text, Twitter would've kept it's beak shut.

"Every bit of it is real," Q said of his first album. "So real, I never listened to it. Never heard it. I mean, I made it [laughs], but that was it. I perform it every night, but I never listen to it because it's too much... A part of me, like, kicks myself in the a-- 'cause my daughter was there. But a part of it makes me proud because I'm not that type of person no more. I'm, like, one of the best fathers in the world, you get what I'm saying?"

Despite the difficulty listening to his own life, the "Man of the Year" rapper says that living it is what makes his sound unique. "I'm not scared to put my real life in there like a lot of rappers. Five, six albums in and you still don’t know nothing about their life. You just know they rap good. They crack, but you still don't know, like, who is this n---a grandma, who's his uncle, what block he come from. How much was the sodas when he was a kid, you know what I'm saying? ... Nobody’s going in depth with it like me. Only other n---a doing it like that is YG.

Elsewhere, Q attempts tp describe his reality-rap style. "I don't sound like nobody, bro. From beats to ad-libs to verses, nobody. Even the way I dress. I’m the first Crip n---a you ever seen in Givenchy and Balmain." And he says when rappers beef, just like in the streets, they're careful who to come for. "Like, all these rappers talking s--t about Macklemore because of the text, but they wouldn't be saying that s--t if I sent the text out," he said. "Or if Maino sent the text out. Bruh, if Maino sent the text out and put it on Instagram, n----s would be quiet. They wouldn't say nothing."

Q's cover of The Source drops Thursday (April 10).
