Report: Dr. Dre Denies Ordering Peace Talk With Suge Knight

Sources close to the hip hop mogul say he didn’t invite longtime rival to movie set to squash differences.

Dr. Dre is setting the record straight, saying that he did not invite Suge Knight to the N.W.A. movie set to settle their beef.

According to TMZ, sources close to the music mogul said that he snickered when told that Knight was claiming that Terry Carter — whom he fatally ran over — brought him to the set to make peace with Dre. Contrarily, sources close to Knight said that he received a call from Carter, who said that Dre wanted him to return to the set so that the two men could end their long-standing feud.

It was further reported that less than two hours prior to the incident, Knight showed up at another set location but was escorted out by Dre's security. However, the Beats mogul's reps deny it all and state that Dre and his crew have been keeping a healthy distance from Knight as he has obvious enemies, exemplified by the August shooting he was involved in at an MTV Awards after-party in Los Angeles.

Now, Suge Knight is currently being held on $2 million bail for the hit-and-run incident which resulted in the death of Terry Carter. Knight turned himself in to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 30.
