Lil Wayne Debuts 'Start a Fire' at AMAs
Lil Wayne not only premiered a brand new song at the 2014 American Music Awards, he also added fuel to those rumors about a relationship with Christina Milian, thanks to a little PDA.
The Young Money artists took the stage Sunday night (Nov. 23) and performed "Start a Fire" for the first time. "Mama, I'm in love with a hot girl," Weezy started.
By the end, he and Milian left the stage holding hands.
The song was originally slated to appear on the singer's upcoming reality show, Christina Milian Turned Up, but she told E! Online that it has now landed on Tha Carter V. "His manager, Cortez, heard the song and was like, ‘Wayne needs this on his album,' and literally when we were filming the episode while we were in the studio, that's how that whole thing happened."
Does that mean we'll see Weezy on the show? We'll have to stay tuned in. Meanwhile, the AMA's offered more surprises. The YMCMB takeover was complete with Nicki Minaj and Skylar Grey delivering "Bed of Lies."
