Pop Art Condoms Promote Safe Sex for Young People in Kenya

The Center for African Family Studies (CAFS), in Nairobi, Kenya, has launched a plan to increase condom use among youth by lacing them with funky art and designs by popular artist Michael Soi.

The bright, colorful and funky designs of Pop Art condoms' packaging are attractive to the eye and one Nairobi, Kenya, organization hopes this will drive up the use of the contraceptive among young people.
The Center for African Family Studies (CAFS) has launched a fundraising campaign to support their new project that aims at tackling the country's HIV/AIDS epidemic. Currently there are an estimated 1.6 million people living with the disease in Kenya. 
Pop Art condoms will feature designs from popular Kenyan artist Michael Soi. "I like to document the things that happen to people in Nairobi," Soi said of the artwork in a video promoting the campaign. 
After the funds are raised, the CAFS plans to use the money to create the first line of colorful condoms and to distribute them to youth groups.
