Jeezy Addresses Gun Possession Arrest

Rapper tells Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club why he initially refused to leave jail.

Loyalty is everything in Jeezy's world, which is why he refused to leave jail last week without the rest of his crew. Da Snowman was busted for suspected gun possession in Southern California along with five others, including two of his tour bus drivers, and wouldn't post his $1,000,000 bail until the entire group was freed.

He explained the situation to Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club this morning (Sept. 2) during a promotional run for his Seen It All LP, out today. "I just felt like I couldn't leave 'em in there," said Jeezy. "When I stepped in the door, I had [bail] bondsman right there to get me out and I just made it clear like when I leave, we leaving together, point blank period."

While Da Snowman didn't divulge exactly how much he coughed up to get the whole team out, he's not hung up on the dollar amount. "At the end of the day I just felt like you go through things in life, that's just what that was. It's only money," continued the 36-year-old Atlanta MC. "It was more about the principal to me. I wasn't leaving no man behind, I don't care how it went down."

Jeezy, who pleaded not guilty to gun charges, maintained that the AK-47 found on his tour bus wasn't his stating, "I'm confident that you will see that me, nor anybody that was apart of my crew, had anything to do with anything. Real talk."

Since his jail release, the CTE front man has already shelled out more money, this time in the name of charity. His Street Dreamz Foundation donated $1,000,000 in scholarship money to the Jay Morrison Academy for aspiring real estate entrepreneurs.
