Jadakiss and Swizz Beatz Pay Homage to #BlackLivesMatter in 'Jason'
Jadakiss is finally getting a release date for Top 5: Dead or Alive after years of trying to secure one.
On Oct. 16, ‘Kiss is releasing his fourth solo album in six years. He’s been actively putting out music with The LOX since then, but Top 5: DOA has been in the works on and off.
To support Top 5: DOA, the Yonkers native releases some visuals for “Jason,” which features Swizz Beatz. Set in a dark setting, ‘Kiss and Swizz take it back to old school New York hip hop with a gritty aesthetic. The song even references #BlackLivesMatter and Eric Garner with the hook, “Don’t shoot please, can’t breathe / Officer don’t shoot, can’t breathe.”
Watch the full video below and look out for Top 5: DOA later this week.
