Christian Rapper Admits Hit and Run Was Intentional

Ryan Anthony Salandy ran over friend after argument about music.

What would Jesus say? 22-year-old Christian rapper Ryan Anthony Salandy is being charged with first-degree murder after he admitted to police that he intentionally hit a man with his car and that man later died.
Salandy and the victim, 21-year-old William Dean McDaniel, had gotten into an argument over music recording when the fight got out of control, according to police reports. “Investigators believe there was some relationship where Mr. McDaniel was formatting or doing something with music given to him by Mr. Salandy,” police captain Paul Starks told NBC Washington.

A witness to the hit and run said that the two men had been arguing before Salandy drove off angrily, later returning to hit McDaniel with his car and leaving him for dead. Police were tipped off when Salandy’s mother called them and reported that her son was at home and had been involved in the crash. About 30 minutes after McDaniel was hit, Salandy had been arrested.

The prosecutor requested that Salandy be held without bond because he may be a risk to the community, after having intentionally hit someone with his car. Salandy's lawyer is questioning the validity of the confession, which he believes was coerced.
