Kanye West Claims Taylor Swift Jab was Approved by Her

He says the two talked on the phone prior to the song's debut.

You would’ve thought Kanye West completely stepped in it when he called Taylor Swift a “b***h” on his song “Famous.” Well ‘Ye wanted to clear that up really quickly and took to Twitter to explain.

Via the social media site, ‘Ye detailed how he talked to the country singer on the phone prior to him releasing the song and not only did she apparently approve of the line – which runs, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b***h famous" – she actually came up with the idea.

He also went a step further suggesting that the controversial word is a term of endearment, which he compares to African Americans using the N-word with one another. A Swift spokesperson – after learning of his explanation – issued a statement refuting Yeezy’s assertion that he reached out for approval beforehand and claims she "cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message."

Kanye West debuted his newest album The Life Of Pablo at Madison Square Garden last night as so many wild headlines were created in the process. Pusha T, Travi$ Scott, Young Thug and others were all in attendance during the event, which also included Kanye’s Yeezy Season 3 Show.
