George Lopez and D.L. Hughley Just Paid an Epic Tribute to Charlie Murphy

They'll be able to remember him forever.

Charlie Murphy’s death was a big loss for laughter, and the comedy world has been doing their part to remember the late jokester.

Perhaps the best example of this is the new tatts George Lopez and D.L. Hughley got on Thursday night (April 20).

The pair went to Fun City Tattoo in New York and got “Darkness” tatted on their hands in honor of their deceased friend. The famous nickname was of course given to Murphy by Rick James during a “True Hollywood Series” segment on Chappelle’s Show.

Lopez and Hughley were in NYC for Murphy’s funeral on Wednesday. Each posted a pic on Instagram of their new ink. Charlie Murphy passed away on April 12 after losing his battle with cancer. He was 57 years old.
