Father Charged With First Degree Murder After 'Suspicious' Fatal Shooting of His 22-Year-Old Daughter
An Ohio father was arrested in connection to the “suspicious” fatal shooting of his daughter last week, reported KFOR.
Last Thursday Norman police officers were called to an investigate reports of a shooting around 6 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Kailee Jo McMullen, 22, dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives found Kailee’s death off. On Wednesday, Norman police arrested Ronald Lee McMullen, 43, Kailee's biological father.
Ronald McMullen was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on a complaint of first-degree murder.
In Kailee’s obituary, she is remembered as a bright young woman who had a sincere passion for helping others.
“At the time of her death, Kailee was employed at CSL Plasma and as an EMT with Norman Regional EMSSTAT.
“Kailee had a passion for helping people and loved animals. Over the years she owned many pets: Mackey, a tri-color border collie that she loved to take to the dog park; Jack, a pug; Shady, a cat; and many hermit crabs, mice and rats,” read her obituary on Norman Transcript.
The case of Kailee’s death remains under investigation, but investigators do not anticipate any further arrests.
A GoFundMe page has been created in Kailee's name to help with expenses.
