'The Breakfast Club' and Diddy's Revolt TV Accused of Racism for Firing Old White People

A group of employees take legal action.

Diddy's Revolt TV is currently in a bind after allegations of reverse racism made by a group of white employees.

According to Page Six, the group claims that execs at the music channel owned by the mogul fired them because they were old and white, and they are taking legal action.

Among those who were let go are Douglas Goodstein and four other white producers — all over the age of 39 — who all worked on the televised version of the company's urban talk-radio program The Breakfast Club, spearheaded by Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy.

Charlamagne, however, clarified on Instagram that the hosts and team of the show have "nothing to do" with the suit.

According to the producers, who filed a lawsuit at the Manhattan Supreme Court, they were treated by executives "worse than other employees who were younger and African-American."

They claimed Revolt's executive vice president, Val Boreland, a Black woman, "was always rude, condescending and dismissing towards the [team]." They continued that Boreland "treated the African-American staff in a much friendlier and respectful manner."

The fired producers further fueled the racism claims, adding that the executives ignored the behavior of "African-American employees who arrived to work intoxicated or hung over."

They also alleged that Boreland's brother, Anthony, and the assistant director of the show said that "Caucasians harbored racism against African-Americans," and further highlighted the claims of racism in the lawsuit, saying, "the animosity Mr. Boreland had towards Caucasians was clear."

According to the suit, after the firing in December 2014, they were all replaced with inexperienced Black employees.

While the fired producers' attorney, Matthew Blit, labeled the racism claims "unacceptable," an attorney for Revolt fired back, denying the motion, saying, "These claims are without merit and have previously been dismissed by the [Equal Employment Opportunity Commission]."
