The Numbers Are In: Here Are Your Favorite Artists Sitting Atop Forbes' 2017 Highest-Paid Celebrities List

Hip-hop and R&B are cashing in around the world.

It goes without saying that all fame comes at a steep price, an adage largely associated with the spoils of celebrity status.

But ask the triple threat seated high on Forbes’s roundup of highest-paid celebrities in the world for 2017, and the price has its delightfully exorbitant fruits as well.

Bad Boy Records’ jack-of-all-industry trade Diddy is crowned as No. 1 with a career milestone earning at $130 million. Though the seasoned hip-hop veteran will go down historically as one of rap’s big spenders, Forbes reports that Puff’s been raking in figures mainly from the success of his Sean John clothing line and Ciroc liquor brand.

On his heels comes the world’s elite megastar songstress Beyoncé, who’s pocketing $105 million. Her rap and business mogul husband and Diddy’s fellow New York hip-hop vet Jay Z has pulled in $55 million in the musician category as well. Two spots beneath Queen Bey comes the Young Money prince Drake at $94 million, while his OVO Sound standout crooner The Weeknd occupies two positions and $2 million below him at $92 million.

Other big names spotted on the list and making music fans everywhere proud are Adele at No. 18 with $69 million in the U.K., Celine Dion at No. 55 cashing in $42 million for Canada and Bruno Mars at a comfy No. 60 spot with $39 million in the States. Jennifer Lopez is also in the 60s, with her $38 million haul landing her at No. 65 followed by Roc Nation’s Rihanna at No. 77 on her home turf of Barbados, pulling in $36 million. Dr. Dre, a highest-paid list staple, finds himself at No. 83 in the musician category at $34.5 million and one of the list’s fresher and independent faces Chance the Rapper comes in at No. 95 with $33 million.

Congratulations, music star squad! As in the words of the Starboy himself: you earned it.
