Wiz Khalifa Is Still Not Done Talking About Kanye West

When is this going to end?

Things seemed to simmer down between Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West after the two reportedly spoke on the phone and squashed their infamous Twitter bout from earlier this year.

Things took a different turn late last week after the Pittsburgh rapper told The Breakfast Club that he and ‘Ye aren’t exactly best friends. Now, during an interview with Playboy for their July/August issue 20Q feature, Wiz further alludes to an ongoing “competition.”

“There’s competition in rap, and Kanye obviously sees me as that,” he told the mag when asked about his relationship with Yeezy. “That was a weird situation, because it was something I would do in real life. All I did was speak my mind. I’m a Max B fan, and if me and Kanye were in a room and he said, ‘Yo, I’mma name my album Waves,’ I’d be like, ‘Don’t do that. You’re not allowed to do that.’”

Khalifa then went on to explain how hip-hop has gotten softer and that rappers don’t speak up enough when they see something they don’t like.

“Nobody really does that these days. Nobody checks n****s like, ‘Nah, n***a.’ No one is above being spoken to, and if you’ve got real friends, they’ll tell you how they feel,” he said. “That’s how I handle all my situations in real life. Even if I have a problem with somebody, I’m not gonna advertise it. We can go around the corner and we can really do it. But all in front of people? That’s not me. N****s talk s**t every day, and n****s say s**t about my ex, n****s say shit about my kid. It’s all good.”

Is the relationship between Kanye and Wiz still a sour one? At least the Taylor Gang founder wasn’t featured in ‘Ye’s video for “Famous.” Read the full Playboy interview here.
