Tory Lanez Says He and Drake Both Can't Share First Place

He opens up in a candid interview.

Tory Lanez has been known to have an unfavorable opinion of Drake in the past, and uh, that hasn’t exactly changed as of late.

The Toronto rapper/singer sat down with Ebro in the Morning this morning (June 27) and addressed his relationship with the fellow hometown artist.

"There's never been a personal problem cause I don't know that man,” he explained. “It's just one of those situations where, the only thing that's ever gonna lie in between us is that we can't share first place. And I'm the only guy that's bold enough to come and really take that right now."

Lanez then noted his competitive spirit, which he claims drives him to wanting to be the best in his native city.

"Hip-hop is a contact sport, I'm here to compete, I'm here to be number one," he said, "I was a fan of his music before, no one's ever took that from me. That doesn't mean I'm not here to take my crown."

Torey Lanez performed during the BET Awards pre-show on Sunday (June 26). He’s currently on tour with A$AP Ferg and is preparing his debut album, I Told You. Check out his full interview with Hot 97 below.
