Jeezy Gets 'Up Close and Personal' on Seen It All Tour

Rapper says he's planning "something special" for Atlanta. Could it be Jay Z?

Jeezy’s Seen It All tour finds him getting closer to fans, the leader of CTE tells BET.com.

The 35-city jaunt launching today (Oct. 9) at Bethune Cookman University sidesteps larger arenas for smaller venues, in addition to stops at Philly’s Power 99 and New York’s Power 105.1 Powerhouse concerts.

“When I started my career, I was pretty much performing [in places] that didn’t have stages, and I loved it,” recalls Jeezy. “With this [tour], you get the club energy.”

Jeezy likes to keep it authentic. “People just know I’m a man of respect," he notes. "I’m not looking down on people. I’ve always been the type of guy who’ll give you my last. I just always was taught when you’re the ‘big homie,’ you gon' always be the ‘big homie.’ When you rule with love, you can move around your city presidentially.”

Yet the Snowman ran into a few problems moving around other cities — particularly Chicago and New Orleans, where there's concern that a Jeezy show might incite, or end in, violence. He hasn't yet locked in those locations and he hasn't announced what he will do for Atlanta. Although his hometown isn't on the tour roster, the Grammy-nominted MC says he’s planning “something special” for ATL.

As far as the setlist goes, each show will “tell a story” with music from Seen It All, plus older cuts for core fans. The tour also gives Jeezy a chance to perform the new album’s Jay Z-assisted title track. It’ll be his first time doing so on the road, and he’s looking forward to that moment. “That record on tour… I really just can’t wait to do it.”

There’s a possibility that some of his collaborators will drop by, like Jay (we asked, but Jeezy wouldn’t confirm if the Roc would be in the building). If not Hov, other names on the album’s guest roster — Game, Lil Boosie, Rick Ross, Akon and Future — might just touch the stage.

Ultimately, the Seen It All tour is about the fans, Jeezy says. “I just wanna make sure this is more of an experience than a ‘record’ concert. It’s like up close and personal. One man, one mic, one night. I want everybody to have a chance to really see me.”
