Mary J. Blige Ordered to Pay Kendu Isaacs Spousal Support – But There’s a Catch

A judge ruled on the contentious case today.

Mary J. Blige is going to be handing over a pretty big chunk of change to her estranged husband once their divorce is finalized. According to TMZ, a judge ordered Blige to pay Martin "Kendu" Isaacs $30,000 a month as a form of temporary spousal support.

While thirty stacks seems like a ton of money, this could actually be seen as a huge win for Blige as Isaacs had initially requested a much larger monthly allowance.

While the court did award Isaacs the monthly support, as well as a hefty $235,000 payment for retroactive spousal support and legal fees, Isaacs had originally requested $129,319 per month. Luckily for Blige, the court decided that that amount was unreasonable.

This win for Blige is not the end of her money troubles, however, as the court also commented on the fact that Blige and Isaacs owe millions of dollar's worth of back taxes. Given who's paying who in this suit, we're sure Blige will end up shouldering the majority of that expense as well.
