Report: Chris Brown Settles Two Assault Cases
Word is Chris Brown may now leave a couple of lawsuits in the past, and he anted up more than $100,000 in settlement monies to do so.
According to TMZ, insiders close to Chris say he paid 100 grand to the man who said the singer and his bodyguard attacked him in a photobombing incident gone awry outside of a Washinton, D.C., hotel around this time in 2013.
Brown plead guilty to simple assault in the case, and was able to avoid additional jail time, outside of the time he spent in lock up earlier this year for probation violation in relation to the fight.
His bodyguard Chris Hollosy also plead guilty.
Another $20,000 was spent toward the multi-million dollar lawsuit filed by Frank Ocean's cousin in a separate fight. Sha'Keir Duarte sued Brown after a brawl broke out in a recording studio parking lot between the two singers' camps in January of 2013. He sought $3 million, alleging that Brown instigated his beating by a bodyguard named "Hood," and that he suffered permanent injury.
A rep for Brown denied there's even an employee with such a name on the roster. Ocean decided against pressing charges.
