Here's Why Madame Tussaud's Says Beyoncé's Wax Figure Looks Like a White Woman

Um, sure...

Madame Tussaud’s Hollywood star-sprinkled wax museum is a bucket list item for some die-hard fans, so it’s no wonder that a photo with the wax figures become treasured keepsakes.

For members of the BeyHive stopping by the historic museum’s New York City location wanting a flick with what they're calling Beyoncé’s wax replica, make sure the flash on your camera is off. At least, that’s what personnel from the venue say is the solution to their very whitewashed figure of Queen Bey.

After receiving their just due of the internet’s backlash for a fan’s photo capturing Madame Tussaud’s very weird and very white Beyoncé wax clone, TMZ reports that sources from the museum have a reason for the whitewashing controversy but it’s awfully flimsy, to say the least.

"Our talented team of sculptors takes every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted,” they stated, according to TMZ. “Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures."

They’ve got a little more to explain than that, however, regarding her bleached blonde tresses, facial features that are noticeably off and the figure’s shape.

Madame Tussaud’s, it may be time to send in the recall team. See why in the post below.
